Wildlife in this area

Pendine is famous for the car and motor cycle races that were held here in the early 1900s.  The annual Welsh TT motor cycle event was held on the beach from 1922 onwards because the 7 miles (11 km) of wet sand gave a firm and flat furface that was also smoother and straighter than most of the roads in those days!

No longer used for racing up and down at great speeds you and your family can find thrills in other ways...
